“Little Witch Academia” is a series of two Japanese animated films made by Yoh Yoshinari about a young girl from Japan named Akko Kagari (voiced by Megumi Han). Akko has no magical heritage, but she wants to become a witch after getting inspired by a performance by Shiny Chariot at a young age so she enrolls in Luna Nova Academy. She befriends Lotte Yanson (voiced by Fumiko Orikasa), a shy girl with glasses who is skilled in magic that involves communication with fairies and Sucy Manbavaran (voiced by Michiyo Murase), a girl who specializes in potions and has an obsession with poisonous mushrooms.
Akko is optimistic, headstrong, and energetic, but she has trouble paying attention in class, does not know how to ride her broom, and is looked down upon often for her admiration for Shiny Chariot, especially by Diana Cavendish (voiced by Yoko Hikasa), the star pupil of Luna Nova and Akko’s rival.
