Wright students and faculty, get your teams together and get ready for kickoff. The Wright College Turkey Bowl is happening on Thursday, November 23!
The Turkey Bowl is a flag football game hosted by the Student Government Association where teams compete in brackets for the championship and win prizes.
Kathleen Ordinario, a member of the Student Government Association who has been helping out from the beginning commented, “This is our 6th year doing this. I’ve never played, but I have done a lot of cheering on the sidelines. The Admissions Office has annually played. SGA has always had a team.”
Mai Mai Villasenor the Vice President is super excited for this, “We are always asking students and clubs to create teams, and we give out prizes to the winners. I’ve been part of Student Government for a year, and I was secretary of the events committee. If any students or clubs are interested in participating in the Turkey Bowl, come into the Student Government meeting room in S139 to sign up and create a team or get put into a random team.”
If you love football, competing, prizes, or just want revenge for a bad mid-term grade, sign up for the turkey bowl!
