First year head coach, Tom Horn, gathered up a dedicated team of ten young women for the Wilbur Wright College Women's Basketball Team, the Lady Rams. Although the Lady Rams have not won a game yet this season, Coach Horn remains optimistic, "Wins and losses will always will reflect my team's academic standing."
Consisting of six freshmen and four two-year students, Coach Horn sets high standards for his student athletes, “My goal at Wright City College is to build a program this means that all Freshman will graduate after participating in two Basketball seasons. My student athletes have a great opportunity to perform in the classroom as well as the Basketball court.”

Coach Horn gives the Lady Rams realistic and attainable goals for both the present and their future, “My expectations for this season is that we will play hard and build the Wright Women's Basketball program back to Respect. My season expectations are that we compete in every game and all my players pass their classes with high academic standards. The Win/Loss record is special but more importantly we are putting together a group of successful Women's Student Athletes who will proudly represent Wright City College. My coaching philosophy is to make Basketball a life learning experience so that my student athletes can become successful well beyond their last athletic contest.”
He emphasizes the importance of good academic standing and his athletes reflect that same pride, “We have two great leaders that are Captains of our team. One of the leaders Isabelle Lozoya helps tutor her teammates and even drives many home or to the train or bus on a daily basis. The other leader, Jive Morris, leads our team in Scoring, Rebounding, and most importantly helping her teammates throughout practice and competitive games.”
