Taste of Thanksgiving: the Wright Way

The Student Government Association (SGA) hosted the Taste of Thanksgiving event on November, 17 where 400 students and faculty spent a meal together.

Thanksgiving has passed, but the warm nature of the holiday has been felt by Wright College. SGA organized the Taste of Thanksgiving where students and faculty had a delicious lunch together, but not before signing on yellow and orange paper hands what they were thankful for. A splendid wall sparked out, depicting the unity and commitment of Wright students under the motto #WeAreWright.

“The Taste of Thanksgiving allowed students and faculty to bond over the thing that ties us together: we are Wright. On top of that, we also created a Unity Wall to celebrate our openness and diversity at Wright under the motto #DiversityIsWright!,” said Mai Mai Villasenor, Vice President of SGA.

It was a pleasant event where students from different corners of the world sat at the same table, making new friends. President David Potash’s words were written in the middle of a wall full of paper hands. A panorama which made Wright campus more warm and alive than it already is.

Coming together and bonding over a nice meal is what Thanksgiving is all about. It reminds us to be grateful for all the good things we have in our life and to be thankful for the people that allow that to happen.
