Young M.A has been taking the radio waves by storm with her number one hit, "Ooouuu". The rapper is from various neighborhoods in Brooklyn, New York City, which reflects in a majority of her songs. Within one year, she has already climbed her way to No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. While only being twenty-four years old, she’s already worked with prominent artists such as Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent.

What sets her apart from other rappers in the industry is that openly gay and her lyrics reflect as such. However, Young M.A. doesn’t want to label herself as a female rapper or a LGBTQ rapper, she wants to just be considered a rapper. Although Young M.A doesn’t have any upcoming shows in Chicago just yet, be sure to keep an eye out for her. She’s going to be the next big thing.
