The campus center at Wright was packed with representatives from the University of Illinois at Chicago on Thursday, February 23. From 11am to 2pm the following colleges/offices were present: admissions, honors college, LARES, business administration, liberal arts and sciences, nursing, engineering, and many more. This event was coordinated by the Gateway Advising and transfer center.
Transferring effortlessly to a four-year college or university involves careful planning. Each office had its own table with a representative and informative brochures on certain programs. Each table also had UIC goodies such as lanyards, flash drives, and pens all featuring the iconic UIC flame.

UIC reps at Wright gave students clarification on programs offered at the university. Allowing students the ability to connect and communicate with a representative gives a feeling of ease when managing the stresses of transferring. The representatives were able to answer important questions and give information on a variety of topics.
The process of transferring can be scary and complicated because of the different process and requirement for each school. If you were not able to attend the event Wright, students can visit the Gateway Advising and Transfer center. They are able to offer 1 on 1 transfer advising, scholarship assistance, and transfer resources not only for UIC but for many universities in Chicago as well as out of state.
