This summer, Wrigley Field crowds will be singing more than just “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
According to mlb.com, on Thursday, August 24, Green Day will perform at Wrigley Field along with special guest, Catfish and the Bottleman as part of their Revolution Radio Tour. Tickets are available from prices $49.50 for an upper-deck seat, to $450 for a V.I.P experience.
The gates open at 6:00pm with the concert starting at 7:00pm, rain or shine. According to greenday.com/tour, Green Day is kicking off their tour on March 1 in Phoenix, and is making stops in Green Bay, Wisconsin; Champaign, Illinois; and Noblesville, Indiana, if you cannot make it out to Wrigley.
Public transit is a recommended mode of transportation for attendees of the event, and a great opportunity for full time students to use their U-Pass! If you are not a fan of Green Day, or are unable to attend, Wrigley is hosting a variety of concerts this summer.
From June through August, the ballpark is hosting Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Dead and Company, James Taylor, Billy Joel, and Zac Brown Band.
Don’t forget to take yourself out to the ballpark this August. The Chicago Cubs are not the only thing to be excited about this upcoming summer!
